[origin: EP0558802A2] For the adjustment of a throttle valve (1), pivotably mounted in the intake connection (2) of an internal combustion engine, a device with electric motor-driven actuator, a gear mechanism, a clutch (10) and an electronic control device (11) is proposed, by means of which, in addition to the idling range, the entire load range can also be automatically controlled. At the same time a coupling element (15) is provided between the cable sheave (8), mechanically coupled to the accelerator pedal (6), and a first lever (13) fixed to the throttle valve shaft (1a). It is furthermore proposed that the main return spring (3) act directly on the cable sheave (8), that the coupling element (15) be preloaded by means of a coupling spring (16) against the first lever (13) of the throttle valve shaft (1a) and that a third return spring (19) act on the output (18) of the actuator (9).
