The invention relates to an appliance which is designed as a hand-held appliance and is intended for machining surfaces. It has a motor housing (1) on which there is located a drive motor (4) which has a motor shaft (5) which rotates when in operation. Said motor shaft drives a tool holder (6) for a machining tool (7). A hand grip (15) projects laterally from the motor housing (1). In addition thereto, the motor housing (1) bears a further guide grip (19) which can be adjusted in the peripheral direction with respect to the rotational axis (9) of the machining tool (7) and can be releasably fixed in different peripheral positions on the motor housing (1). Suitable positioning of the guide grip thus permits the respective machining task to be carried out. <IMAGE>

Es handelt sich um ein als Handgerät ausgebildetes Gerät zum Bearbeiten von Oberflächen. Es besitzt ein Motorengehäuse (1), an dem sich ein Antriebsmotor (4) befindet, der eine im Betrieb rotierende Motorwelle (5) aufweist. Letztere treibt einen Werkzeughalter (6) für ein Bearbeitungswerkzeug (7) an.Seitlich vom Motorengehäuse (1) steht ein Handgriff (15) ab. Zusätzlich zu diesem trägt das Motorengehäuse (1) noch einen Führgriff (19), der in Umfangsrichtung bezüglich der Rotationsachse (9) des Bearbeitungswerkzeuges (7) verstellbar ist und sich in verschiedenen Umfangspositionen am Motorengehäuse (1) lösbar festlegen läßt. Durch geeignete Positionierung des Führgriffes kann dadurch dem jeweiligen Bearbeitungszweck Rechnung getragen werden. <IMAGE>
