Using the radio data system (RDS), it is possible in EON receiving mode to switch a broadcast receiver automatically to the traffic announcement on another station during the reception of any FM sound radio station. During this switch, however, strong jumps in volume can occur in the audio reproduction since the transmitters of different station chains are operated with different modulation percentages determined by their station. Using the broadcast receiver according to the invention, the volume can be adapted when changing to a traffic radio programme and this is repeated automatically with each subsequent station change. <IMAGE>

Mit Hilfe des Radio-Daten-Systems (RDS) ist es im EON-Empfangsbetrieb möglich, einen Rundfunkempfänger während des Empfangs eines beliebigen UKW-Hörfunkprogramms auf die Verkehrsdurchsage in einem anderen Programm automatisch umzuschalten. Dabei können jedoch in der akustischen Wiedergabe starke Lautstärkesprünge auftreten, da die Sender unterschiedlicher Programmketten programmbedingt mit unterschiedlichem Modulationsgrad betrieben werden. Mit dem erfindungsgemäßen Rundfunkempfänger kann eine Anpassung der Lautstärke beim Wechsel auf ein Verkehrsfunkprogramm vorgenommen werden, die automatisch bei jedem nachfolgenden Programmwechsel wiederholt wird. <IMAGE>
