In a method for firing by gas a furnace used in the ceramics industry, which has at least one burner or one burner group, a non-flammable mixture of gas and primary air is first produced and this mixture is supplied either to each burner or each burner group separately or to all burners or all burner groups together from a central mixture preparation. In association with a pulse control and corresponding burner and mixture preparation controls, the firing by gas can be optimally verified and adapted to the respective requirements with low constructional outlay. <IMAGE>

Bei diesem Verfahren wird zunächst aus Gas und Primärluft ein nicht zündfähiges Gemisch in einem Mischgefäß (12) hergestellt und dieses Gemisch entweder jedem Brenner (7) bzw. jeder Brennergruppe separat oder allen Brennern bzw. allen Brennergruppen gemeinsam aus einer zentralen Gemischaufbereitung zugeführt. Im Zusammenhang mit einer Impulssteuerung und entsprechenden Brenner- und Gemischaufbereitungssteuerungen läßt sich die Gasbefeuerung mit geringem konstruktiven Aufwand optimal verifizieren und an die jeweiligen Bedürfnisse anpassen. <IMAGE>
