[origin: EP0559250A1] According to the present invention magnetic carrier particles are provided for use in magnetic brush toner-carrier development of electrostatic charge patterns, said particles incorporating finely divided magnetic pigment particles dispersed in a resin binder, characterized in that said carrier particles comprise a mixture of magnetic pigment particles wherein a portion (A) of said pigment particles has a coercive force of more than 300 Oe and another portion (B) of said pigment particles has a coercive force of less than 300 Oe, the weight ratio of said portions (A) and (B) being in the range of 0.1 to 10.
