Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0560060A1] The metering pump made of plastic for dispensing metered amounts of pasty materials from a bottle-like, can-like or tube-like paste container (3), with a resilient bellows (13) as pump element, which is arranged between, and so as to join, an upper housing part (4) and a lower housing part (3) which is movable telescopically with respect thereto. The upper end section (13/1) of the bellows encloses in a sealing manner an annular wall (33) of an intermediate wall (27), provided with a paste passage, of the upper housing part (4). The lower end section (14) of the bellows bears in a sealing manner against an annular collar (15) of the lower housing part (3). The upper housing part consists of two hollow bodies with a closable outlet opening. A hollow guide body (23) projects into the hollow space, located above the intermediate wall (27), of the hollow body (22), provided with the outlet opening (53) and a terminating end wall (55), of the upper housing part (4). Said hollow guide body (23) delimits a paste accumulation space (93) which is provided with the outlet opening (53) and is connected to a paste passage of the intermediate wall (27). The guide body (23) is provided with a resilient membrane wall (80) which has a plug-like closing element (82) which is coaxial with the outlet opening (53). <IMAGE>
