Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0560152A1] The invention relates to a tiltable roof (5), supported on end wall-side support arms (6), for railway goods wagons whose freight hole consists of at least two funnel-shaped chambers (1), the tiltable roof (5) being tiltable, by means of an actuation element, out of the closed state towards one longitudinal side of the vehicle counter to the force of a spring (15). The objective of the invention consisted in finding an actuation device for tiltable roofs (5) of the aforesaid type, which device ensures, with simple means, a non-forced tilting of the tiltable roof (5) and an economical design which is not prone to faults. According to the invention, this is achieved in that the actuation element consists of a lever (9) which is attached to the tiltable roof (5) approximately in the longitudinal centre and is mounted with its other end on the wagon body of the railway goods wagon in an articulated fashion and can be acted on by a drive (12) in order to tilt the tiltable roof (5). <IMAGE>
