[origin: EP0560193A1] A compound profile member (1) consists of two metal profile parts (2, 3) and two plastic insulating webs (4, 5) which interconnect these parts and which are held in grooves (7) of the metal profile parts. The inner sides of the metal profile parts (2, 3) and the plastic insulating webs (4, 5) delimit a chamber (9) which runs continuously in the longitudinal direction of the compound profile member (1) and which is filled with a heat-insulating material.
