The invention relates to a connector of the rectangular type having a shell (casing) (2) in which an insulating central body (1) having electrical contact elements (16) is positioned. A beam element (41) is arranged at each of the longitudinal ends (17) of the central insulating body (1) and a stud (50) is arranged on an internal transverse face (22) of the shell (2). The beam elements include a central portion (41) whose ends are each extended by a resilient arm (42, 43) so as to improve the flexibility of the beam (41). <IMAGE>

L'invention concerne un cornnecteur de type rectangulaire présentant un boîtier (2) dans lequel est positionné un corps central isolant (1) présentant des éléments de contact électrique (16). Un élément de poutre (41) est disposé à chacune des extrémités longitudinales (17) du corps central isolant (1) et un ergot (50) est disposé sur une face transversale interne (22) du boîtier (2). Les éléments de poutre comportent une partie centrale (41), dont les extrémités se prolongent chacune par un bras élastique (42, 43) de manière à améliorer la flexibilité de la poutre (41). <IMAGE>
