Abstract (en)

A reflective paint of high quality comprises a metallically reflecting base on which a transparent microbead-containing transparent paint film is located. The microbeads form an approximately single-layered, closely packed film. The metallic primer coat is produced by means of a paint containing metallic particles. The microbeads are scattered onto a tacky varnish film which has not completely cured until the latter is completely covered. After microbeads adhering only loosely have been removed, the paint is dried, and a further varnish film is applied and again dried. A coloured design can then be produced by means of a coloured transparent paint.

Ein Reflexionslack hoher Güte besteht aus einer metallisch reflektierenden Grundlage, auf der sich eine transparente Mikrokugeln enthaltende transparente Lackschicht befindet. Die Mikrokugeln bilden eine in etwa einlagige und dichtgepackte Schicht aus. Die metallische Grundierung wird mittels eines metallische Partikel enthaltenden Lacks hergestellt. Die Mikrokugeln werden auf eine nicht vollständig ausgehärtete, klebrige Klarlackschicht aufgestreut, bis diese vollständig bedeckt ist. Nach Entfernen nur lose anhaftender Mikrokugeln wird der Lack getrocknet, eine weitere Klarlackschicht wird aufgebracht und nochmals getrocknet. Danach kann noch eine farbliche Gestaltung mittels eines eingefärbten Transparentlacks erfolgen.
