[origin: WO9210300A1] A guide (2) is provided on a dipping tube (1) that projects into the separating chamber of a device for separating mixtures of a liquid or gaseous medium and a liquid or solid substance, under the effect of centrifugal forces, and through which the medium is discharged from the device. The guide (2) is composed of at least one baffle plate (3) shaped as a truncated cone envelope, whose axis of curvature (4) is parallel and offset with respect to the axis (5) of the dipping tube (1). The guide (2) directs the medium in the dipping tube (1) at the same time as the energy of flow is recycled as compression energy, while the medium is axially accelerated in its outflowing direction and in the direction of the axis (5) of the dipping tube.
