[origin: EP0561025A1] A device for producing alternate bends (38, 30) in a continuously fed straight tube (18), in particular for the production of a serpentine tube, has a machine table with two bending rollers (12, 13) which have mutually parallel axes (15, 16) of rotation at a fixed distance apart. On their respective circumferences, the bending rollers (12, 13) are provided with grooves which match the cross-section of the tube (18) and accommodate the said tube (18). A bending drive is furthermore provided. One bending roller has an axis of rotation which is fixed relative to the machine table while the other bending roller can be pivoted about the bending roller with the fixed axis of rotation by means of the bending drive, thereby bending a curved portion (38, 40) of the tube (18). In order to achieve a particularly simple structure and render handling especially simple, each of the axes (15, 16) of rotation in turn can be fixed while the other axis (16, 15) of rotation is coupled to the bending drive. The bending drive, can, moreover, be driven alternately in opposite directions. <IMAGE>
