An adjusting device for a height-adjustable table serves for producing or inhibiting a vertical relative movement between a fixed frame part (4) at the floor end and a movable frame part (6) at the table understructure end, which part is guided movably relative to said fixed frame part, the adjusting device (2) being attached to the fixed frame part (4) and engaging on the movable frame part (6). The fixed frame part (4) and the movable frame part (6) are hollow profiles which bear against one another with little play and the adjusting device (2) is arranged releasably in a hollow space (16) between wall sections (18, 20, 22, 24) of the fixed frame part (4) and of the movable frame part (6). <IMAGE>

Eine Verstelleinrichtung für einen höhenverstellbaren Tisch dient zur Erzeugung oder Hemmung einer vertikalen Relativbewegung zwischen einem bodenseitigen ortsfesten Gestellteil (4) und einem hierzu beweglich geführten tischuntergestellseitigen beweglichen Gestellteil (6), wobei die Verstelleinrichtung (2) an dem festen Gestellteil (4) angeschlagen ist und an dem beweglichen Gestellteil (6) angreift. Festes Gestellteil (4) und bewegliches Gestellteil (6) sind Hohlprofile, die mit geringem Spiel aneinanderliegen und die Verstelleinrichtung (2) ist in einem Hohlraum (16) zwischen Wandabschnitten (18, 20, 22, 24) von festem Gestellteil (4) und beweglichem Gestellteil (6) lösbar angeordnet. <IMAGE>
