The chair has a seat surface (1) and a backrest (3) and a furniture frame (7) which receives a seat part (1) and backrest (3). The seat surface (1) and the backrest (3) are connected movably to one another via a hinge (2). If appropriate, a foot rest part (4) is linked to the front edge of the seat part (2) via a hinge (5). A plurality of downwardly directed connecting rods (9, 10, 11) are provided on the furniture frame (7). At least one of the connecting rods (11) is connected to the backrest (3). A further connecting rod (9) is connected to the seat surface (1) in the front region thereof. The connecting rods (9, 10) are designed as cords, cables, straps, chains or tension springs, which may be variable in length. The parts (1, 3, 4) of the chair connected to one another via the hinges (2, 5) are freely movable relative to one another. <IMAGE>

Das Sitzmöbel weist eine Sitzfläche (1) und eine Lehne (3) auf und ein Sitzteil (1) und Lehne (3) aufnehmendes Möbelgestell (7). Die Sitzfläche (1) und die Lehne (3) sind miteinander über ein Scharnier (2) beweglich verbunden. Gegebenenfalls ist an der Vorderkante des Sitzteiles (2) ein Fußauflageteil (4) über ein Scharnier (5) angelenkt. Am Möbelgestell (7) sind mehrere nach unten gerichtete Lenker (9, 10, 11) vorgesehen. Mindestens einer der Lenker (11) ist mit der Lehne (3) verbunden. Ein weiterer Lenker (9) ist im vorderen Bereich der Sitzfläche (1) mit dieser verbunden. Die Lenker (9, 10) sind als eventuell längenveränderbare Schnüre, Seile, Bänder, Ketten oder Zugfedern ausgebildet. Die über die Scharniere (2, 5) miteinander verbundenen Teile (1, 3, 4) des Sitzmöbels sind frei gegeneinander beweglich. <IMAGE>
