[origin: EP0561158A1] Press cushion made of asbestos-free material for use, for example, in presses for the production of high-pressure laminates. The cushion consists of a woven textile made of a yarn of aromatic polyamide which, if appropriate, is mixed with other yarn materials and, based on the entire weight of the press cushion, contains metal filaments in a proportion between 0 % by weight and approximately 70 per cent by weight, preferably between approximately 0 % by weight and approximately 40 per cent by weight, characterised in that a non-woven is needled on to the top side and/or on to the bottom side of the woven layer.
