[origin: EP0562177A2] The invention relates to a closure with a threaded cap and a container neck provided with an external thread or a closure element which can be connected to the container neck having a spout provided with an external thread, in which the screw cap consisting of a cap base and outer cap surface has an internal thread on the inside of the outer cap surface and can be screwed onto the external thread of the container neck or of the spout of the closure element and can be unscrewed therefrom, and in which the outer cap surface is connected via a catch connection to a catch cam of the container neck or of the closure element, which catch connection can be released by pressing in part of the outer cap surface. With the aid of a projecting catch tab moulded onto the outer cap surface and of a catch cam on the container neck or on a closure element, an operationally safer, simpler child-resistant safeguard is obtained.
