Abstract (en)
An awning (1) has an elongate awning casing (2) in which a winding shaft (6) is rotatably mounted. The awning casing (2) is provided with an awning-canvas slot (11) which continues over the entire length of the casing and through which the awning canvas (7) runs. It has a cylindrical outer configuration and the opening-out rail (8) has, likewise on its outer side, a cross-section in the form of an arc of a circle, to be precise such that, when the awning (1) is in the retracted state, said rail engages over the two edges of the awning-canvas slot (11) from the outside. <IMAGE>

Eine Markise (1) weist einen länglichen Markisenkasten (2) auf, in dem eine Wickelwelle (6) drehbar gelagert ist. Der Markisenkasten (2) ist mit einem über seine Länge durchgehenden Tuchschlitz (11) versehen, durch den das Markisentuch (7) ausläuft. Er hat eine zylindrische Außengestalt und die Fallschiene (8) weist ebenfalls an ihrer Außenseite einen kreisbogenförmigen Querschnitt auf, und zwar so, daß sie bei eingefahrener Markise (1) den Tuchschlitz (11) an seinen beiden Rändern außen übergreift. <IMAGE>
