[origin: EP0562298A1] The gas space of the gas holder is closed off at the top by a diaphragm (1) floating on the gas and by a turned-back casing (2). In order to guide the diaphragm, i.e. to protect it against wobbling and to hold it preferably horizontally, the diaphragm is loaded by a counterweight (3) which is held via a rope guide (4) acting on the underside of the diaphragm and running inside the gas space. <IMAGE>
