[origin: EP0562401A1] A method for processing a photographic silver halide material, in which the residence time of the photographic material in a treatment tank is divided into a plurality of sections, the material alternately being immersed and not being immersed into the treatment bath present in the treatment tank, and the time for which the material is immersed in the bath being at most 50 % of the total residence time in the particular processing stage, is characterised by results which are up to specification, even though the quantity of the treatment bath can be considerably reduced. <IMAGE>
