The invention describes a spray (oil mist) lubricating appliance for automatic punching machines. Such automatic machines consist of an upper chamber part (5) and a lower chamber part (6) with atomization nozzles (7) at which there are two opposite slits for the entry and exit of the strip to be wetted. An extraction device for the lubricant mist extends above and below the strip inlet and strip outlet slit, over their entire width. The clear cross-sectional areas of the extraction slits (2, 2', 3, 3') are equal to or larger than the cross-sectional areas of the slits for the strip. The edges of the upper extraction slits are formed by a downward-sloping cowl which widens in the direction of the outer wall of the chamber. The wall of the cowl runs vertically in the lower part. <IMAGE>

Beschrieben wird ein Nebelschmiergerät für Stanzautomaten. Solche Automaten bestehen aus einem Kammeroberteil (5) und einem Kammerunterteil (6) mit Vernebelungsdüsen (7), an denen zwei gegenüberliegende Bandlaufschlitze für den Eintritt und den Austritt des zu benetzenden Bandes vorhanden sind. Eine Absaugeinrichtung für den Schmierstoffnebel erstreckt sich oberhalb und unterhalb des Bandein- und Bandauslaufschlitzes über deren gesamte Breite. Die lichten Querschnittsflächen der Absaugschlitze (2,2',3,3') sind gleich groß oder größer als die Querschnittsflächen der Bandlaufschlitze. Die Wandungskanten der oberen Absaugschlitze sind von einer sich in Richtung der Kammeraußenwand erweiternden abgeschrägten Abdeckhaube gebildet. Die Wandung der Abdeckhaube verläuft im unteren Teil vertikal. <IMAGE>
