Abstract (en)
Thin deformable sheet made of aluminium alloy of fine and homogeneous structure which has a high elastic limit, and a process for the manufacture of the said sheet. This sheet, between 0.1 and 3 mm in thickness, is obtained by casting onto a metal surface travelling at a speed higher than 0.1 m/s and has a structure in which the additional elements are in the form of eutectic particles between 0.05 and 2 micrometres in size, dispersed homogeneously throughout the thickness of the sheet. It finds its application in the majority of cases where it is necessary to have available sheets with a high elastic limit so as to enable them to be easily converted by deformation into finished products such as, in particular, small tubs, tins and lids. <IMAGE>

L'invention est relative à une feuille mince, déformable, en alliage d'aluminium à structure fine et homogène ayant une limite élastique élevée et à un procédé de fabrication de la dite feuille. Cette feuille d'épaisseur comprise entre 0,1 et 3 mm est obtenue par coulée sur une surface métallique défilant avec une vitesse supérieure à 0,1 m/s et présente une structure dans laquelle les éléments d'addition sont sous forme de particules eutectiques de dimensions comprises entre 0,05 et 2 micromètres et dispersées de façon homogène dans toute l'épaisseur de la feuille. Elle trouve son application dans la plupart des cas où il est nécessaire de disposer de feuilles ayant une limite élastique élevée de manière à pouvoir les transformer aisément par déformation en produits finis tels que, notamment, barquettes, boîtes et opercules. <IMAGE>
