A reflector (41, 42) and at least one rod-shaped lamp (3) embraced therein are provided in a housing (1) which is open in the direction of a light opening plane. Arranged below the lamp are screening elements (61, 62) for limiting glow which extend in the manner of a mirror image relative to the longitudinal sectioning plane of the light fixture and parallel to its longitudinal axis. Said elements are aligned with their principle dimensions essentially parallel to the longitudinal sectioning plane and thus perpendicular to the light opening plane. They cover a critical region (5) which is determined, on the one hand, by a tangential beam (s1) laid against the lamp at a prescribed, still permissible cut-off angle ( beta ) relative to the horizontal and, on the other hand, by a limiting beam (s3) which is parallel to said tangential beam and intersects the lateral boundary of the light exit opening. <IMAGE>

In einem in Richtung auf eine Lichtöffnungsebene offenen Gehäuse (1) ist ein Reflektor (41, 42) und wenigstens eine darin umfaßte, stabförmige Lampe (3) vorgesehen. Unterhalb der Lampe sind spiegelbildlich zur zentralen Längsschnittebene der Leuchte und parallel zu ihrer Längsachse sich erstreckende Abschirmelemente (61, 62) zur Blendungsbegrenzung angeordnet. Diese sind mit ihren Hauptabmessungen im wesentlichen parallel zur Längsschnittebene und damit senkrecht zur Lichtöffnungsebene ausgerichtet. Sie überdecken einen kritischen Bereich (5), der durch einen mit einem vorgegebenen, noch zulässigen Abblendwinkel (β) gegen die Horizontale an die Lampe gelegten Tangentialstrahl (s1) einerseits und einen dazu parallelen, die seitliche Begrenzung der Lichtaustrittsöffnung schneidenden Begrenzungsstrahl (s3) andererseits festgelegt ist. <IMAGE>
