[origin: EP0563567A1] A safety ring (1) consisting of a ring of U-shaped cross-section formed by backs (2) and flanges (3) and of a clamping closure (4, 5) fixed to the ends of the ring. The technical problem is to provide a safety ring which has a restoring capacity upon deformation so that a tight seal of the closure or of the vessel is always guaranteed.
