[origin: EP0563643A2] The invention relates to a cartoning device with a cartoner (5) for carton blanks (4) having a continuous side-wall region (6) and bottom and lid tabs (7, 8) connected to this. In order to achieve optimum utilisation of the possible cartoning speed, a plurality of adjacent pallet stations for pallets (3) carrying stacks of carton blanks (4) are provided, at least one extraction gripper (16) being movable along the pallet stations for the purpose of extracting their respective carton blank (4) and depositing it in an erecting device (21), the erecting device (21) being followed by a cartoner (5) designed as a turret (33) drivable in steps and having cells (34), with associated folding elements for folding round the bottom and lid tabs (7, 8) in the closing position and with glue-coating heads (40), and articles (49) to be packaged, delivered by an intermittent conveyor (49), being capable of being pushed into a cell (34) located in the receiving position and containing an erected carton blank (31). <IMAGE>
