Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0563664A1] Load-receiving apparatuses, in particular for motor vehicles in mechanical parking facilities, which are designed as storage and retrieval units and in the manner of a high-bay warehouse are equipped, depending on configuration, with supplementary devices such as pallets, self-propelling special carriages, running rails, special drives or the like. The use of a simple and lightweight load-receiving apparatus without supplementary devices is made possible if there are arranged, such as to be displaced transversely, on a mobile load-bearing means (1), two parallel telescopic-fork lower parts (2), each of which bears a telescopic-fork upper part (4) which is guided, if required, in a longitudinally movable telescopic-fork central part (3), which can telescope with respect to the latter and on which two pairs of roller carriages (6), with load-bearing rollers (7) projecting on the load-receiving side, can be longitudinally displaced and, in order to receive the wheels (8) of a motor vehicle to be parked, can be adjusted and locked with respect to one another. In dependence on the load resting thereon and the extent to which they are telescoped, the telescopic-fork upper parts (4) can be supported, with a slight inclination which is monitored by sensors on supporting rollers (5), fitted at their ends, in the track of the motor vehicle to be parked. <IMAGE>
