Abstract (en)
A bimetallic-control protection circuit breaker contains a busbar (2) which is electrically connected in series with the bimetallic device (1). The busbar (2) runs parallel to the bimetallic device (1) in its deflection plane and is rigid in comparison with said bimetallic device (1). The bimetallic deflection is supported by the effect of electrodynamic force. In order that the protection circuit breaker is suitable for relatively high current intensities and the effect of the electrodynamic force can be utilised better, the bimetallic device (1) is electrically connected in parallel with a shunt path.

Ein bimetallgesteuerter Schutzschalter enthält eine zu dem Bimetall (1) elektrisch in Reihe geschaltete Stromschiene (2). Die Stromschiene (2) verläuft parallel zum Bimetall (1) in dessen Auslenkebene und ist im Verhältnis zum Bimetall (1) starr. Die Bimetallauslenkung wird durch elektrodynamische Kraftwirkung unterstützt. Damit der Schutzschalter für größere Stromstärken geeignet ist und die elektrodynamische Kraftwirkung besser ausgenutzt werden kann, ist das Bimetall (1) mit einem Nebenschlußstrompfad elektrisch parallel geschaltet.
