[origin: EP0563972A2] Time switch having a microprocessor controller which renders it possible to use only three keys (CK, ZK, PK) to input precisely to the minute the switching instances for a weekly operating programme into the switching point programme memory (SP), and to set the counters (M1, H1, D1) for the time of day and day of the week precisely to the minute. In one time switch operating state (U), the contents of the programme memory are compared in a comparator (VG) to the contents of the counters (M1, H1) for the time of day, and in the event of equality the switching contact (K1) is controlled to open or close, and it is possible by actuating the set key (PK) to set two different types (HBA) of manual operation which override the time switch operation (UBA) in a temporary or permanent way. A second switching channel can be set for programming purposes by a channel selection key (KWK). The switching times respectively programmed in terms of day are indicated in a sector display (AS). <IMAGE>
