Abstract (en)
[origin: JPH0633374A] PURPOSE: To impart a wrinkle proof property by immerse-treating a textile in a finishing bath containing a specific succinic acid. CONSTITUTION: This finishing process for a textile is to immerse a textile to be treated in a finishing bath containing phosphinicosuccinic acid, phosphinicobissuccinic acid or a mixture of these succinic acids exhibiting a useful cross-linking characteristics to cellulose fibers and prepared by adjusting at pH 2-7 by using an alkali metal hydroxide to impart a wrinkle proof property excellent in washing resistance. By the method, no formaldehyde is generated nor yellowing appears.
