[origin: EP0564379A1] An actuating mechanism for a single-pole and neutral circuit breaker includes a tension spring (48) inserted between the two contact-holders, neutral (18) and phase (20), and anchored between a stud (68) of a drive plate and a transverse pin (58) of a swinging lever device. This results in a balancing of the pressure loads on the contacts, independently of wear and of manufacturing tolerances. <IMAGE>
