Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0564400A1] The apparatus possesses a body (1, 2) which contains a continuous yarn channel for the run-through of a multifilament yarn (M). The yarn channel is limited by a first wall face (7), in which at least one blowing nozzle (9) opens laterally into the yarn channel, and by a second wall face (8) which is located opposite the mouth of the blowing nozzle (9). At least one of the two wall faces (7) is curved in the longitudinal direction of the yarn channel. As a result, the distance between the two wall faces (7, 8) increases gradually from a minimum at the mouth of the blowing nozzle (9) towards the ends of the yarn channel. This leads to a gradual decrease in the velocity of the blowing medium which flows from the mouth of the blowing nozzle (9) to the two ends of the yarn channel. Even weak interlacing points formed in the multifilament (M) are thus no longer opened up. <IMAGE>
