Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2669338A1] Peptide fragments from the env protein of FIH (feline immunodeficiency virus), their application in diagnosis of feline immunodeficiency; peptide antifragment antibodies and their applications indiagnosis and treatment of feline immunodeficiency. These peptide fragments comprise a portion of an env protein of the feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) between the amino acid 66 and the terminal C amino acid of the transmembrane (TM) env protein, between 5 and 50 amino acids and at least one epitope. The peptide antifragment antibodies are obtained by immunization of a suitable animal with at least one peptide fragment having an affinity for the peptide, and are able to recognise the FIV env protein, the FIV and/or the cells expressing the FIV.
