[origin: WO9212180A1] Novel cyclodextrin and epichlorohydrin based polymers are obtained by adding an epoxy-ammonium salt to a cyclodextrin-epichlorohydrin polycondensate wherein the ratio of cyclodextrin to epichlorohydrin is 1:3 to 1:10 and the proportion of nitrogen is 0.1-5 %. Firstly, a cyclodextrin-epichlorohydrin polycondensate is prepared in a manner known per se, then an epoxy-ammonium salt, such as a 2,3-epoxypropyltrimethylammonium halide, is allowed to react with said polycondensate. The polymers may be used in the separation and adsorption of substances, and particularly in the chromatographical separation of isomers.

L'invention concerne de nouveaux polymères à base de cyclodextrine et d'épichlorhydrine. Ils sont obtenus par addition d'un sel d'époxy-ammonium à un polycondensat cyclodextrine-épichlorhydrine, le rapport cyclodextrine:épichlorhydrine étant compris entre 1:3 et 1:10, et le taux d'azote entre 0,1 et 5 %. Dans une première étape on prépare un polycondensat cyclodextrine-épichlorhydrine d'une mannière connue en soi, et dans une deuxième étape on fait agir un sel d'époxy-ammonium, tel qu'un halogénure de 2,3-époxypropyltriméthylammonium, sur le polycondensat. Application à la séparation et l'adsorption de substances, notamment la séparation chromatographique d'isomères.
