[origin: WO9308380A1] The invention concerns a hydraulic control device for turning the camshaft (10) of an internal combustion engine, the device having a linkage element (23), designed as a piston (25), which is connected to a sprocket wheel (12) on the camshaft (10) by helical gearing and is connected to the camshaft (10) by straight-tooth bevels (29, 30). Flange-fitted to the camshaft is a hydraulic unit (13) accommodating a radial piston pump (14) which supplies the hydraulic fluid necessary for displacement of the piston (25). The pressure space (78) in front of the piston is closed off by a controllable pressure-relief valve (85). A solenoid valve (39) controls the flow of hydraulic fluid from an external pump (57) to the cylinder bores (62) of the radial piston pump. Translational motion of the piston (25) causes the sprocket wheel (12) and the camshaft (10) to rotate relative to each other.

Le système de commande hydraulique pour la rotation de l'arbre à cames (10) d'un moteur à combustion interne comporte un élément d'accouplement (23) se présentant sous la forme d'un piston (25). Cet élément d'accouplement est relié à la roue à chaîne (12) de l'arbre à cames par le biais d'une denture hélicoïdale. Il est également relié à l'arbre à cames (10) par le biais d'une denture droite (29, 30). Un corps hydraulique (13) est bridé à l'arbre à cames et abrite une pompe à pistons radiaux (14) qui alimente le piston (25) en liquide de pression afin qu'il puisse se déplacer. La chambre de pression (78) est fermée par un limiteur de pression (85) commandé. Une soupape électromagnétique (39) commande le flux de liquide de pression fourni par une pompe extérieure (57) et allant vers les alésages des pistons (62) de la pompe à pistons radiaux. Le déplacement du piston (25) fait que la roue à chaîne (12) et l'arbre à cames (10) sont mis en rotation l'un par rapport à l'autre.
