[origin: EP0565082A2] The invention relates to a sports floor, in particular for gymnastics halls, sports halls and multipurpose halls, having spaced-apart, resilient elements for supporting a load-distributing layer, formed from panels or the like consisting of wood or similar material, on an underlying surface, said load-distributing layer being provided with grooves which extend upwards from its bottom surface. The grooves are arranged in an approximately grid-like pattern and the resilient elements are provided, in the region of the grooves, fixedly on the bottom surface of the load-distributing layer. <IMAGE>
