A press for mechanically dewatering comminuted solid material containing water is equipped with a rotatable conveying worm (3) which is cantilevered in such a way it can execute a rotary, oscillatory pivot movement about a pivot (D) situated in the region of the drive. The press therefore exhibits a good dewatering performance and a high level of resistance to wear. The effectiveness and operating performance of the press can be further improved by means of special designs of the region in which the solid material leaves the conveying section (3). <IMAGE>

Eine Presse zum mechanischen Entwässern von wasserhaltigem, zerkleinerten Feststoff ist mit einer rotierbaren Förderschnecke (3) ausgestattet, die fliegend so gelagert ist, daß sie um einen im Bereich des Antriebs liegenden Drehpunkt (D) eine drehpendelnde Schwenk-Bewegung ausführen kann. Dadurch ist eine hohe Entwässerungsleistung bei günstigem Verschleißverhalten der Presse zu erzielen. Durch spezielle Ausgestaltungen des Bereiches, in dem der Feststoff die Förderstrecke (3) verläßt, lassen sich Effekt und Betriebsverhalten der Presse weiter verbessern. <IMAGE>
