Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0565833A1] A device (10) for perpendicularly aligning the upright axis (9) of a superstructure (7) turnably and inclinably mounted on an understructure (11), for example a turntable ladder (12), is proposed, which has an upper turntable (8) and a lower turntable (2), a tilting mechanism (1) with a central swivelling axis (13) and associated tilting drive in the form of hydraulic control cylinders (6) being interposed. Instead of the tilting mechanism, one or more control cylinders (17) can be directly interposed between the upper and the lower turntable, it being possible to displace the upper and lower turntables on two oblique paths or inclines (18, 19). The lower turntable (2) can be replaced by a ball-bearing slewing rim (14) with associated parking brake (15), which in terms of tactics of use is of great advantage. The power flow then no longer takes place via two toothings but only via a rotary drive and a turntable. <IMAGE>
