[origin: EP0566102A1] The invention relates to a mixer having a mixing trough, a mixer rotor (14) which can be rotated by means of a drive motor (2), and at least one mixing tool (22) which is arranged on the mixer rotor and projects into the mixing trough. The mixer is to be improved in such a way that it can be adjusted to the particular operating conditions without difficulty and without laborious design changes and conversion measures. It is proposed that upstream of the drive motor (2) there be a converter (42), in accordance with whose output frequency the speed of the drive motor (32) in particular can be predefined in a controlled manner. <IMAGE>
