Heavy closed-shed dobby of the type comprising two actuating knives (11) driven in an opposed alternating movement for cooperating selectively with a double tilting hook (13) carried by each of the pivoting levers (14) coupled to the heald frames (CL) of the corresponding weaving machine, characterised in that it comprises two rotating drums (16) which are oriented parallel to the direction of movement of the knives (11) and the periphery of which has two grooves (16a) which have reversed undulated profiles and inside which are engaged studs (11a) provided axially at the end of each knife. <IMAGE>
