The device has a differential epicyclic planetary gear mechanism having a motion (5) arranged inside the gear rims (2, 3), and is connected to the moon ball (1) to form a structural unit which can be mounted directly on a conventional clockwork (45). A clock which is provided with the device indicates in three dimensions the current phase of the moon during a lunation at any given instant. <IMAGE>

Die Vorrichtung hat ein differo-epizyklisches Planetenradgetriebe mit innerhalb der Zahnkränze (2,3) angeordnetem Räderwerk (5) und ist mit der Mondkugel (1) zu einer Baueinheit verbunden, die direkt auf ein herkömmliches Uhrwerk (45) montierbar ist. Eine Uhr, die mit der Vorrichtung versehen ist, zeigt den aktuellen Stand des Mondes während einer Lunation zu jedem Zeitpunkt plastisch an. <IMAGE>
