[origin: EP0566531A1] For the collection and subsequent stitching of folded sheet-like printed products, which are regularly fed to a conveying track (2), the collected printed products are fed to the stitching operation by means of a drivable bending apparatus (3). In a charging area (6) the printed products are placed astride supports (5) which are spaced in the conveying direction and are fixed to a rotating tensioning means (4). The deflector wheel for the tensioning means (4), rotating about the axis (9), is designed as a stitching wheel (10). The stitching wheel (10) bears actuatable benders (11) distributed over its circumference. Supports (5) and benders (11) each combine to form a stitching station (12). Opposite to the circumference of the stitching wheel (10) is a stitching apparatus (7) which can be connected for drive purposes to the stitching wheel (10). <IMAGE>
