[origin: WO9119538A1] A detector for measuring the intensity of light comprises two sensors (11, 12) adapted to produce output signals related to the intensity of light incident upon them, a filter (14) for attenuating light received by one of the sensors in a selected spectral band, and means (15) for combining the output signals of the two sensors to provide a detector output signal representative of the intensity of the light in the said spectral band incident upon the detector. The sensors (11, 12) are so disposed in relation to one another, for example they may be arranged concentrically, as to render them insensitive to their orientation in relation to light incident upon them. Also, there may be a further filter (13) for attenuating light received by both sensors in a further selected spectral band.

Un détecteur servant à mesurer l'intensité de la lumière comprend deux capteurs (11, 12) produisant des signaux de sortie se rapportant à l'intensité de la lumière incidente sur eux, un filtre (14) servant à atténuer la lumière reçue par l'un des capteurs dans une bande spectrale choisie, et des éléments (15) servant à combiner les signaux de sortie des deux capteurs afin de produire un signal de sortie de capteur représentatif de l'intensité de la lumière dans ladite bande spectrale incidente sur le capteur. Les capteurs (11, 12) sont ainsi disposés l'un par rapport à l'autre, par exemple de manière concentrique, qu'ils sont rendus insensibles à leur orientation par rapport à la lumière incidente sur eux. De plus, il peut y avoir un filtre additionnel (13) servant à atténuer la lumière reçue par les deux capteurs dans une bande spectrale choisie additionnelle.
