[origin: EP0566871A2] A drawing-in bar (1) for profiling upholstery materials (16), which are covered on the outside by a covering material (14), for upholstered furniture and similar upholstered seat parts consists of a plastic profile element which bears a separately produced sewing-on lug (5) for connecting it to the covering material (14) and which has a dual-limb cross-sectional profile whose two profile limbs (2, 3) are connected to one another at their base by a narrow connecting web (4) and bound a receiving gap which starts from said connecting web and fixes the sewing-on lug (5). The drawing-in bar (1) is provided with holding tabs (9) arranged spaced apart in the longitudinal direction of said bar and formed by punch-outs (8) which include the sewing-on lug (5), and, in the region of its free side edge (10) opposite the receiving gap, the sewing-on lug (5) bears a support bar (11) which continues in the longitudinal direction of the drawing-in bar (1), bridges the punch-outs (8) and, in turn, is made of plastic. <IMAGE>
