[origin: EP0567010A2] The invention relates to a sewer structure, in particular manhole (1), having a liquid-storage chamber (25) which is arranged therein and can be filled via an inlet (2, 3) and interacts with its discharge (18) as flushing device (25, 18), the discharge emptying into the sewer (35) through the bottom (10) or a side of the liquid-storage chamber (25) towards the base structure. In order to be able to fit out and operate such a sewer structure in a particularly simple manner and to permit uncomplicated inspection of the sewer, the invention proposes that an inspection opening (19) connecting the sewer structure (1) to the sewer (35) be provided for the sewer (35) separately from the discharge (18) of the liquid-storage chamber (25). <IMAGE>
