Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0567024A2] The invention relates to a keyboard for piano-like instruments which is used for practice purposes or in high-quality electronic instruments. The intention is to simulate the impression of piano playing. The keyboard is to be capable of use in any desired position. To this end it is proposed that a tension spring (1) which is long in relation to the key (2,2') and is adjustable in its tensile force be arranged virtually parallel to the key (2), one end of the tension spring (1) being fixed to a spring suspension approximately in the middle of the key (2, 2') and the other end being fixed adjustably on the frame. An advantageous embodiment of the keyboard according to the invention envisages that magnets (MT, MG) be arranged in each case on the keys (2, 2') and on the frame (6) of the keyboard in a manner such that, when the keys (2, 2') are actuated, they move past each other at a short distance apart. The magnets (MT, MG) have the same polarity, so that repelling forces arise as they move past. <IMAGE>
