[origin: EP0567040A1] In a roadway covering which surrounds a roadway (13), a side cover (60) is proposed, which contributes both to noise insulation and to filtering the outgoing air. The side cover (60) has an incoming-air opening and an outgoing-air opening. The outgoing-air opening is provided with a filter for particle separation. The filter provided in the outgoing-air opening filters the outgoing air occurring in the driving space. At the same time, it contributes to noise insulation. <IMAGE>
