Abstract (en)

The present invention relates to a furniture unit of the wardrobe type, or another type of storage unit, which is closed with a roller shutter. The furniture unit according to the invention consists of vertical side walls (1), joined by upper transverse connection elements (2) and lower transverse connection elements (3), and of a base (4), comprising a closure member consisting of a shutter (5) with articulated slats, the said shutter passing from a front closure position to a transverse and rear opening position. The shutter is movable in rails on the inner face of the vertical side walls (1), the said rails following the contour of the said inner faces and exhibiting at least one front part, one rear part and one transverse part joined at the corners by curved arc portions, and the upper and lower transverse connection elements are fixed to the vertical walls (1) or edges between the upper and lower transverse parts of the rails, the shutter running above and/or below the said connection elements. <IMAGE>
