[origin: EP0567416A1] Two moulded-case circuit breakers are fixed side by side on a bedplate and are interlocked by a mechanical device which prevents simultaneous closure of the two circuit breakers. The interlock device includes two coaxial bars (45) mounted rotatably on the bedplate and each carrying a receiving crank (48') at one of its ends, and a rotary cam (49) at the opposite end. The receiving crank (48) co-operates with a pusher (43') actuated by the contact-carrying rod or a crank (13') integral with this rod, in order to pivot the associated bar (45) and displace the corresponding rotary cam (49) which co-operates with the other circuit breaker in a trip operating position when the first circuit breaker is in the closure position. Trip operation is transmitted by a tumbler (31) to a transmission lever (30) which acts on the system for locking the mechanism of the circuit breaker. The second bar similarly carries a receiving crank which co-operates with a pusher of the second circuit breaker, and a rotary cam capable of prompting the tripping of the first circuit breaker when the second circuit breaker is closed. <IMAGE>
