Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9309939A1] A block machine (1) for producing formed bodies from pourable masses has a measurement and comparison arrangement (16) that detects the moulding pressure (15) and the press stroke (14) from the beginning of the moulding process and compares it with a predetermined moulding curve (19) that represents the pressure/stroke set values of the moulding process. Detected deviations from the pressure/stroke set values beyond a tolerance range (20) of the moulding curve (19) are used as a signal for prematurely ending the moulding process. The rejected formed body (24) that results can be easily ground and reintroduced without further treatment into the initial material (6) to be moulded.
