[origin: EP0567756A1] The invention relates to a collecting container for hollow glassware, with a braking device fixed on the inside of the opposite container walls below the insertion aperture and at least partially spanning the interior space of the container. The braking device is formed by at least two brake belts (16, 18) arranged one above the other, and each consisting of a flat textile structure with a plurality of mutually spaced slits (22) which open under the weight of the material thrown in. <IMAGE>
