[origin: EP0567829A1] Transfer of anthraquinone dyes by diffusion or sublimation from a transfer (carrier) to a plastic-coated substrate with the aid of an energy source by using a transfer on which there are present one or more anthraquinone dyes I <IMAGE> where X is hydrogen or cyano; R<1>, R<2> and R<3> are independently of one another hydrogen, alkyl, alkanoyloxyalkyl, alkoxycarbonyloxyalkyl or alkoxycarbonylalkyl, which may each contain up to 20 carbon atoms and may be substituted by halogen, hydroxyl or cyano, phenyl or benzyl which may each be substituted by C1-C15-alkyl or -alkoxy, a radical of the general formula II <IMAGE> where W is identical or different C2-C6-alkylene radicals, n is from 1 to 6, R<4> is C1-C4-alkyl or optionally C1-C4-alkyl- or -alkoxy-substituted phenyl.
